COLUMBUS, ohio (WTVN)--The Ohio Attorney General says two people have been arrested on drugs in Pike County, with evidence coming from the investigation into the murders of eight people last April.
Mike DeWine's office adds that the arrests are not related to the murders.
Authorities arrested 38-year-old Josh Rhoden and 63-year-old John McJunkin Thursday on felony charges related to drug trafficking and possession.
Search warrants conducted on their homes resulted in the discovery of over $7,000 in prescription pills, nine guns, a small amount of marijuana, and $8,000 cash.
Eight members of the Rhoden family were found dead in their homes in April of 2016. Authorities believe the family was involved in drug activity. The Ohio Attorney General is still requesting information related to the murders, with no arrests made.
