Greg Oden Opens Up

Greg Oden was the talk of college basketball 10 years ago. As a freshman, he led Ohio State to the national championship game. He left OSU after that freshman season and was the number 1 pick in the 2007 NBA draft. Since then, however, Oden's basketball career--and at times--his life have been a struggle.

Sunday, ESPN's Outside the Lines did a feature on Oden, discussing his injury plagued NBA career, his off court challenges and his current attempt to get his life back in order--working on getting his degree at Ohio State and working on Thad Matta's staff as a student coach.

Oden opened up about his disappointing NBA career, saying "I'll be remembered as the biggest bust in NBA history," but got support from the number 2 pick in that 2007 draft.

"Getting injured a few times...that's the only reason he's not in the NBA," Golden State forward Kevin Durant said. "That's no reason to call him a bust. If he was out there healthy on the court, you could see the impact he had. Everyone could see it."
