Columbus Crew SC announce new jersey sponsor

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Columbus Crew SC has announced a new partnership for their jersey sponsorship.

The deal is with Acura, who will have their name and logo on the team's new home and away jerseys for the next three years.

The club will go with their gold kit as their primary kit, and the black kit as the secondary kit.

“The prestige of the Acura brand and company’s unwavering commitment to Central Ohio are powerful forces we are now honored to proudly stand alongside,” said Crew SC President of Business Operations Andy Loughnane. “Acura and Columbus Crew SC are both committed to positively impacting our community, and this landmark partnership represents the collaborative capabilities of two brands that firmly believe in Ohio.”

Acura, a subsidiary of Honda Motor Company, has manufacturing and Research and Development operations in central Ohio. Barbasol was the previous jersey sponsor for the Crew.

The team opens its 2017 MLS season at MAPFRE Stadium on March 4th against the Chicago Fire.
