Here's What Columbus Missed

A tornado warning for Franklin and Madison counties could not have come at a worse time for fans of March Madness. It was issued just as the North Carolina/Kentucky South Regional Final was reaching its climax. Channel 10 cut away from the game to broadcast a weather warning--but there were problems. All Columbus saw was a blank screen--no radar--no basketball game with the weather man talking over it--nothing--a blank screen with a weather alert crawl at the top. What basketball fans in Columbus missed was an amazing finish, as Carolina defeated Kentucky 75-73 on a last second jumper by Luke Maye. His heroics came seconds after Kentucky's Malik Monk hit an off-balance 3-pointer to tie the game. It was one of the best finishes--if not the best--in the tournament this year. If you haven't seen it, here's how it ended and how Carolina celebrated after the game.
