Driver sought in deadly Columbus hit-skip

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- As a Columbus family prepares to lay Denise Nunziato to rest, the search goes on for the driver who killed her.

Nunziato was crossing West Broad St. near Sylvan Ave. around 10:30 Saturday night when she was struck and killed by a car.

Columbus police are going over video and witness accounts of the incident, but they have the car they believe was used in the incident.

They say Andrew Fabal, 31, was driving the Honda Civic that started heading west on West Broad, then turned around and went eastbound at a high rate of speed.

Police say Fabal hit Nunziato, continued heading down Broad Street, then parked the car and took off on foot.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Columbus police.

Nunziato's family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.
