Cedar Point Teases Reveal of New Roller Coaster

SANDUSKY, Ohio (WTVN)--Cedar Point Amusement Park, in Sandusky, is teasing the reveal of its latest thrill ride.

The tweet, posted on Monday shows a wooden structure with a metal track, and what appears to be the first lift hill for the ride.

The park will reveal what is coming in on August 16th, presumably to be ready in time for the 2018 operating season.

Cedar Point gave the media a preview of the construction site last month, without revealing many details. It is on the site of the former "Mean Streak", a wooden roller coaster which opened in 1991, but closed after the 2016 operating season.
