Crew move on Austin City Council agenda

AUSTIN, Texas (WTVN) --City leaders in Austin, Texas are scheduled to decide Tuesday whether to continue pursuing a major league soccer team---specifically, the Columbus Crew.

Crew owner Anthony Precourt at first offered just a stadium on a site in downtown Austin, but now, he's sweetened the deal with talk about including affordable housing.

A group in Austin opposed to the stadium plans is circulating a video on Facebook, urging Austin not to throw away $1 billion, when the money could be spent on schools and helping Austin's homeless, among other things.
