So Tuesday afternoon, on "The Drive" with my radio partner Stan Jackson, I mentioned that I had written poems to celebrate my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary and my son Jonathan's "homecoming day"--and now was being pestered by the rest of my family to do poems for them. The conversation turned towards the past sports poems I had written--including--my 2014 "Ode to the Buckeyes" after Ohio State's national title. Many of you heard it then--but many have not. I had many requests for me to read it, so Wednesday, I did it on the air. There was more reaction after that... some of you said I should turn it into a children's book, others just wanted me to read it again. I'm not going to do that, but I thought I would post it here, in case you wanted to hear it....so--by request--here's my "poetry jam" during Wednesday's show.
