UPDATE: Charges Against Stormy Daniels Dropped

UPDATE: Columbus City Attorney Zach Klein has dropped the charges against Stormy Daniels, saying she has not made regular appearances at the establishment, as required by law.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Adult film star Stormy Daniels spent the night in a Franklin County jail cell following her arrest for allegedly allowing a customer to touch her during a routine at "Sirens", a northeast-side strip club.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, was freed after posting a $6,000 bond.

Her attorney, Michael Avenatti, reported the arrest on Twitter late Wednesday night, calling it "desperate and politically motivated".

Columbus police tweeted Thursday morning that the arrests of Daniels and two others are part of a long-term investigation into allegations of human trafficking, prostitution, and other vice related violations.

Daniels has been touring the nation since telling the world she had an affair with President Trump in 2006.
