MARION, Ohio (WTVN)--A fire at a home in Marion early Thursday morning left a woman dead, and at least one child in the hospital.
Officials say the first call went out to a home along East Fairground Road around 1AM. Firefighters were told that rescues were necessary, and at least one person was rescued from the roof, while others jumped from the 2nd story.
A woman was found dead in the search, and a four-year-old boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Eight people were in the home at the time. Investigators say the blaze started on the 1st floor, and firefighters say the home had no working smoke detectors.
