Arrest Made in Connection with Body Found in Upper Arlington Park

UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio (WTVN)--There's a suspect in custody in connection to the body found burning in a park in Upper Arlington just over one week ago.

Police say Mohamed Abdullahi was taken into custody Monday on an unrelated OVI charge, after he was found driving erratically.

He had been considered a person of interest in the death of Bobbie Renee Simpson, with her body discovered by walkers at Burbank Park on October 14th.

Abdullahi is charged with felony arson and abuse of a corpse. The investigation revealed he initially tried to dismember her body, before setting it on fire.

Simpson's funeral is Tuesday morning. Investigators are still looking for a connection between the victim and suspect.
