COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--It appears Columbus is not going to be selected as the site of the second headquarters for online retail store Amazon.
According to reports leaked yesterday, the company has decided to split the location of the headquarters between Crystal City in Arlington County, Virginia and Long Island City in Queens, New York.
Columbus was one of twenty finalists out of an original 240 cities Amazon first considered to build its second HQ.
An official announcement from Amazon is expected sometime today.
Columbus already has several Fulfillment centers, employing thousands of workers. The company also recently announced all workers are making at least $15 an hour.
