COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 News)--Columbus is now the first city in the United States to offer a self-driving shuttle service to the public.
Monday Smart Columbus and DriveOhio unveiled the Smart Circuit shuttle which will travel a one-point-five mile stretch along the Scioto River daily from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m.
The vehicles have a top speed of 25-miles per hour and will ferry passengers from COSI, Vet's Memorial, Smart Columbus, and Bicentennial Park.
While the cars have no driver, each one will carry a human attendant who is there to answer questions or take over in case of emergencies.
