Giant Eagle Recalls Lettuce from Central Ohio Stores

COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 news)--Giant Eagle is submitting a voluntary recall of red and green leaf lettuce sold in several of its Central Ohio grocery stores.

The recall notice issued Sunday said red and green leaf lettuce sold in some stores between December 3rd and the 14th could be at risk for E. coli contamination.

Locations known to be affected include Giant Eagles in Blacklick, Pickerington, New Albany and Lancaster, and stores on Britton Parkway in Hilliard, Stelzer Road in Gahanna, and Hamilton Road in Groveport.

Customers are asked to throw their product away or return it to the point of purchase.
