DeWine Swearing-In Part II: Statehouse Rotunda Ceremony

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Ohio's 70th governor is ceremonially sworn-in at the Ohio Statehouse twelve hours after the official rite of passage at 12:01am Monday.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine delivered a nearly eighteen-minute speech in which he detailed a broad view of his plans for progress in Ohio during his time in office. Previous Governors John Kasich, Ted Strickland, Bob Taft and Richard Celeste looked on as DeWine addressed a crowd of several hundred legislative leaders, supporters and friends in the Statehouse Rotunda.

DeWine singled-out Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin and said the two men have work to do, vaguely referencing the Brent Spence Bridge project linking Cincinnati & Covington, Kentucky.
