COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The National Weather Service says two records were broken in Columbus on Thursday.
The agency says the high temperature recorded at John Glenn Columbus International Airport reached 62-degrees, besting the previous record set in 1925 at 61.
There was also a record rainfall total for the date, with CMH seeing .94-inches of rain Thursday, besting the previous record of .79, set in 1999.
Similar rainfall records were also set Thursday in Dayton and Cincinnati.
Also in Central Ohio, the Scioto River in Circleville is forecast to reach moderate flood stage over the weekend, with a Flood Warning remaining in effect through early Monday.
