Winner of "I Voted" Sticker Design Contest Revealed

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose has announced the winner of the contest to redesign Ohio's "I voted" sticker, which is given to voters after they cast a ballot at the polls.

The contest boiled down to three finalists, and was put up for an online vote.

The winning design was submitted by Emily Legg, a senior at Teays Valley High School. It will replace the current design, which has an "I love voting" phrase, with the outline of the state of Ohio as the heart.

LaRose says the contest was also about getting young people excited about the importance of voting.

The new design will be used for Ohio elections through 2022. The state will also exhaust it's current supply of voting stickers before issuing the new ones.
