COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--A new bill being proposed in Ohio would expand the sale and distribution of ice cream that is infused with alcohol.
A few years ago, the state legislature permitted ice cream infused with alcohol to be purchased and consumed on the premises where it is made.
The new proposal would allow it to be sold to grocers, restaurants, and to the public over the internet, as well as through delivery services.
Alcohol-infused ice cream in Ohio is made up of 5-percent alcohol by volume.
Companies like Haagen-Dazs have a line of alcohol-infused ice creams.
