DeWine Issues Order Banning Large Gatherings

Bernie Sanders Cancels Cleveland Primary Night Event Over Coronavirus Fears

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Ohio Governor Mike DeWine laid out the specifics of his order banning large gatherings in the state, over fears of the spread of Coronavirus.

On Thursday, DeWine executed the order prohibiting gatherings of 100 or more people.

There are many exceptions, which include the operations at airports, bus and train stations, medical facilities, libraries, shopping malls, typical office environments, factories, and grocery stores.

There's also a religious exemption, for church services, and for events like weddings and funerals.

The order was accompanied Thursday by news that a 5th person in Ohio has tested positive for COVID-19, a man in Trumbull County.
