Sonic Temple Music Festival Canceled

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Coronavirus outbreak in Ohio has claimed another major event.

The organizers of the Sonic Temple Music Festival announced Monday the three-day rock-and-roll event, set for Mapfre Stadium this May, has been canceled.

Concert promoter, Danny Wimmer Presents, says with the ongoing order against large gatherings, and issues regarding venue availability and scheduling conflicts, it made postponing the festival impossible.

Fands who purchased tickets or multi-day passes are eligible for a full refund, or can have their ticket credited to another DWP event, like the Louder Than Life festival, which is set for Louisville, Kentucky in September.

DWP also canceled the "Welcome to Rockville" festival, which was scheduled for May 8th-10th in Daytona Beach, Florida.
