Ohio Attorney General Orders Hobby Lobby to Close

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost was forced to take action against Hobby Lobby on Wednesday, after the popular arts and crafts retail chain defied the governor's stay-at-home order.

Many stores in Ohio originally complied with the order that closed non-essential businesses. Hobby Lobby is not considered essential in that order.

On Tuesday, Yost received reports that many stores had re-opened, without an update to the Governor's order.

Yost sent a cease and desist letter to company executives, citing the ongoing health crisis for closing the stores.

He later Wednesday received a phone call from company executives, saying they will comply with the order again.
