Wendy's Experiencing Meat Shortage, Forcing Some Restaurants to Close

DUBLIN, Ohio (WTVN)--"Where's the Beef?" As of right now, they are running out at Dublin-based Wendy's.

The fast-food chain is now feeling the pinch brought on by a meat shortage during the coronavirus pandemic.

The company issued a statement saying some stores are running out of fresh beef, meaning they can not serve their famous hamburgers.

Outbreaks of coronavirus at numerous meat processing facilities in the U.S. prompted the shortage, although a statement from Wendy's says the loss of inventory is only temporary.

Many locations in California could only serve chicken products as a result, and others were forced to close.

Wendy's still only serves fresh beef that is never frozen.
