COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--A judge in Franklin County has sentenced former 10TV Meteorologist Mike Davis to between four and six years in prison, for possessing thousands of images of child pornography.

Judge Karen Phipps admonished the one-time TV weatherman for his behavior, after reviewing the case, saying he only showed remorse for the victims after he was arrested, and groomed his family and co-workers to hide his behavior for seven years, leading up to his arrest.

Davis was taken into custody in September, and investigators found over 16-thousand images of the illegal material, with some victims as young as four-years-old. Davis was fired from WBNS-TV shortly after his arrest.

Davis and his legal team had argued for treatment, saying he was seeing a therapist for mental health issues, but Judge Phipps said the therapy was not geared towards sex offenders, and she chastised Davis for violating the terms of his parole, where he was not permitted to have access to the internet.

Davis pled guilty in January to four counts, and was taken into custody immediately after Thursday's sentencing hearing.
