Person Who Tested Positive for COVID-19 Attended Columbus Protests

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Health officials say a person who tested positive for COVID-19 attended the recent protests in the city of Columbus.

Columbus Public Health Wednesday confirmed the subject was showing symptoms on May 27th, but still attended the protests.

Dr. Mysheika Roberts, CPH Director, says if you are showing symptoms, stay home and call 614-645-1519 for assistance on finding a free testing location.

Health officials also say if you continue to protest, do so while continuing to practice safe social distancing, wearing a face covering, and avoiding large crowds.

Experts say loud talking, shouting, and singing are common ways the coronavirus is spread.
