All Ohio Adults Eligible for COVID-19 Vaccine by March 29th

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WTVN)--Ohio Governor Mike DeWine on Tuesday announced the largest expansion of eligibility yet for Ohioans to receive the coronavirus vaccine, with all adults eligible to receive one by the end of the month.

Speaking at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, DeWine announced that two more phases of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout plan begin Friday, March 19th.

Phase 1-E includes Ohioans with cancer, chronic kidney disease, COPD, obesity, and heart disease. Phase 2-C, which also begins Friday the 19th, includes all Ohioans age 40 and older.

DeWine also announced that beginning March 29th, all Ohioans age 16 and older will be eligible to receive a vaccine. He cautions that Ohioans age 16 and 17 can only receive the Pfizer vaccine.

The announcement comes as the state of Ohio is set receive even more doses of the vaccine in the next few weeks.
