COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--As part of his administration's "Help is here" tour, President Joe Biden took a tour of the cancer research facility at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital on Tuesday.

It marked the first time for the President visiting the Buckeye state since taking office.

Biden spent time discussing the impacts of the American rescue Plan on healthcare, and marking the anniversary of the signing of the Affordable Care Act into law.

Biden says part of the $1.9-trillion package he signed into law increases subsidies for insurance premiums through Obamacare, to increase affordability.

He also mentioned the cancer research breakthroughs happening at OSU's facility. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty also joined Biden on the tour.
