COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced a rollback of one major coronavirus guideline on Tuesday.
DeWine says anyone considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 does not have to quarantine if they have been exposed to someone who tested positive.
Ohioans are considered fully vaccinated if it's been two weeks since their 2nd shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or two weeks since their one-shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
In his Tuesday update, DeWine said the change does not apply to nursing homes, adding they should continue to follow CDC guidelines, which includes quarantining residents upon admission.
DeWine says the change means young people who have been vaccinated can participate in sports.
