COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--A man is in custody for the shooting at a restaurant on the north side, that left his former friend dead.

Columbus Police said tips led them to suspect that 18-year-old Jesus Castro was responsible for the shooting at the Roosters on East Dublin-Granville Road on February 18th. 18-year-old Marshawn Davis died as a result.

Officers arrested Castro on Wednesday, but not before he tried to make a run for it one last time.

Investigators say Castro and Davis were friends, but they had a falling out, and Castro later threatened to kill Davis.

Castro was also caught on surveillance video at the scene of a shooting at a caribbean restaurant in the Linden area a few weeks later.

Castro appeared in court on Thursday on the murder charge, and was ordered held on $1-million bond.
