Plenty of candidates, issues for May 7th primary
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) --Absentee voting for the May 7 primary election is underway with the start of in-person early voting and the mailing of ballots to voters who have applied to vote by mail.
Voters have until May 4 at noon to request an absentee ballot by mail. Applications also are available on Franklin County Board of Elections website, at public libraries or by calling the Board of Elections at (614) 525-3100.
In-person absentee voting in Franklin County will be held at the Board of Elections located at 280 East Broad Street at the following times:
- · Weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Tuesday, April 2 through Friday, May 3
- · Saturday, May 4 from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
There are no countywide issues on the ballot in this election. Columbus, Hilliard and Reynoldsburg will hold primaries for city council. Thirteen special elections including school levies and tax questions along with five liquor options will appear on local ballots.
