  • Bob Conners In The Morning, 5:30 to 9: Monday through Friday.

For more than three decades Columbus radio listeners have been waking up with Bob Conners.

    Think about it.

An entire generation never having to change the radio dial because they always' knew that a friendly, familiar voice would be there to get them up and get them prepared with the news and information they need to start their day.

someone they could trust to know what's important to them because this is Bob's city too and what happens here means as much to him as anyone.

After coming here from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he made it his home more than 40 years ago.

Some might wonder, did he adopt Columbus or did it adopt him?

    Clearly the answer is both.

Without a doubt he is one of our favorite sons, native or otherwise.

And thanks to the strength of the WTVN signal and the advances in technology, millions more can tune into, and rely on the most familiar voice, still hosting the longest running radio show in the history of Columbus.

That includes those who grew up listening to BC but who may have left the area and many who are scattered around the country but have taken Bob's show with them.

The comfort of knowing that even though times change and people move on, they can be assured of his steady voice, calm demeanor and seemingly endless ability to say the right thing just at the right time.

And for all of these years being surrounded by dedicated broadcasting professionals, who like Bob Conners know what it takes to keep something this special and this enduring still were people expect it to be.

BC remains more than the "Morning Monarch" of Columbus radio, he is like family.
