Pennisetum setaceum ‘Fireworks’...or just plain old ‘Fireworks’ Fountain Grass. This ornamental grass is actually an annual in our area, but the colorful upright growing grass with variegated stripes of white, green, burgundy and hot pink really pops both in the ground or in containers! And did I mention the purple tassles just now starting to appear above the foliage? Plant this spectacular grass as a specimen or in mass for one of the must stunning displays of color your landscape or containers will ever experience. I have them growing in one gallon containers, scattered amongst the other container plantings on the patio, and they have become the show stealer. Remember, just like its cousin Purple Fountain Grass, this one is an annual (Zones 9-10 hardy). 20-30 inches high / deer resistant / easy care / once established only needs occasional watering / plumes used for cutting.
