And here we are, another week, another pizza place. The entire goal of the Men's Pizza Coalition is to find the best pizza in Columbus. We are about 5-weeks into this quest and it is full steam ahead (sorry, couldn't think of a good pizza pun).

This week, we visited a classic here in Columbus: Tommy's Pizza. When I walked into this place, I instantly felt a "this pizza is going to taste good" vibe. The decor reminded me of my Italian grandmother's basement - or maybe the basement of a Catholic church. There was a nice, group seating section for our clan of 10 fellas.

While there was some crap on the floor (scant toppings, straw wrappers), it wasn't an unsightly occurrence that put a whole damper on the experience. The waitress was fantastic and very, very attentive to drinks and the like. You could tell that she has been doing this job for awhile and was good at it.

The pizza took awhile to get there, but that didn't effect the review much. We got larges of the following: Hawaiian (ham and pineapple), Meat Lovers, Everything, Pepperoni, and Pepperoni plus banana peppers. In total, our bill was just over $100. Normally, I am not a fan of thin crust, but the generous toppings combined with the lack of crust really enhanced what was on top of the pie.

Overall, a pretty positive experience. Here's the take away.

So, without further or due, here's  the numbers (out of 5)...
- Atmosphere: 3 (decent vibe).
-  Price: 3 (not bad at all).
- Taste: 7.5 (out of 10, pretty solid taste).
- Service: 3 (great work).
-  Location: 4 (easy to get to, good parking).

Bottom Line: Very good, well done. Would definitely return. One of my favorites (20.5/30).
