To the south again we go! Another review for the Men's Pizza Coalition in this weekly review we call "Columbus By The Slice." Onward in our tasty quest to find the best slice in Columbus.
We all liked the decor in this place - lots of plane/aircraft theme crap hanging on the walls. It was a heavily-themed place with lots of personality. The staff was attentive and the manager even came out and made sure we were happy with the pizza and service. That's always a nice touch when the big boss says "yo, yo."
Most of us were happy but not blow away by the pie. One member of the "MPC" gave Flyers a 9.5/10 on taste. I don't think it was worth that much, but it wasn't bad. It just lacked the "ka pow," ya know? What disappointed me was the pepperoni. You can't mess up on that! Flyers' pepperoni didn't have any "pizzazz" to it as the crust was kinda doughy and the sauce was sweet. I don't dig the sweet sauce.
But, without further or due. Here is our final takeaway.
ATMOSPHERE: 3.5 (unique, but not outstanding).
PRICE: 3.5 (moderately priced).
TASTE: 7.0 (out of 10, not bad taste).
LOCATION: 3.0 (easy to get to, good parking).
SERVICE: 3.0 (pretty solid).
- BOTTOM LINE: Not bad, but wouldn't go out of my way for it (20/30).
