What a great call by TBS play-by-play man Kevin Harlen. "A cold blooded three!" he shouted after LaQuinton Ross nailed the shot that beat Arizona 73-70 and lifted the Buckeyes into the Elite Eight vs. Wichita State at 7:05 Saturday.
Ross' performance in the post-season has been remarkable. Prior to the Big Ten tournament, he was 21-63 from 3-point range (33%) but in six post-season games, three in the Big Ten tournament and three in the NCAA's, Ross is 12-20 from three (60%).
Ross has scored 17 points in each of the last two games. When you consider that he scored 18 points his entire freshman year, you see how far the kid has come.
You've probably seen it already, but here's Thursday's game winner.
One on One With the Buckeyes
Again, Larry Larson, our former WTVN colleague, is out of retirement this week. We've put him to work and he's doing a fantastic job covering the Buckeyes in his new home town of Los Angeles. After the dramatic win, Larry caught up with several Buckeyes. Some were one-on-one interviews, others were with a group of reporters. Thad Matta's comments were from his full media press conference. Here's how the Buckeyes reacted after their dramatic win.
