Sully Talks Buckeyes, Celtics with Joel Riley
610 WTVN's Joel Riley visited with former Buckeye basketball star and two-time All-American Jared Sullinger Monday morning.
Sullinger told Joel, "I think about it every day," when asked if there was any part of him that wishes he was still playing for coach Thad Matta and Ohio State. "Playing with coach Matta..that was one of a kind. He's one of my favorite coaches by far but it was just around that time where I had to move on."
Sullinger, whose rookie season with the Boston Celtics was cut short by a back injury said he's "back working out and back playing."
The Celtics are a team in transition with the departure of veterans Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, as well as head coach Doc Rivers.
"Everyone is doubting us and we're looking to prove everybody wrong," Sullinger said.
