We got the band back together for Bucksline Thursday night as former WTVN Buckeye football analyst and now Ohio Dominican Head Coach Bill Conley joined Dave Maetzold, Earle Bruce Stan Jackson and me during hour number two.
Bill's ODU Panthers are 7-0 and ranked No. 14 in the latest Division II college football poll. Overall, ODU has a 12 game win streak, which is the longest in Division II. Our discussion with Bill included not only what he's done at Ohio Dominican, but also the Buckeyes, the controversial targeting rule which resulted in Ohio State defensive back Bradley Roby's ejection last week, and more. It was an excellent hour and it was fun talking football with Bill again.
We also had a guest in what was an excellent first hour as well. Joel Selwood, considered among the best Australian Rules Football players, was in Columbus and visited with us. Joel has led the Geelong Cats to three AFL championships in the last seven years. He is a huge sports fan and is visiting Columbus to see Ohio State's Australian punter, Cameron Johnston, in action. Johnston and Selwood are from the same home town.
We had another packed house at the Buffalo Wild Wings on Bethel Road. Thanks again to our regulars who are there every week and also some great Buckeye fans from New Orleans and Charlotte who stopped by to say hello.
