PLAIN CITY, Ohio (WTVN) -- State troopers are investigating a deadly crash Monday afternoon in Madison County.
According to the Highway Patrol, a car driven by 17-year-old Sarah Munford of Hilliard ran a stop sign at Plain City-Georgesville Road at Lucas Road in Canaan Township and hit a pickup truck.
Eighteen-year-old Alexa Howard, a passenger in Munford's car, was killed.
The State Patrol says the Columbus woman wasn't buckled-in and was thrown from the vehicle.
Munford is in the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the truck wasn't hurt.
