COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol has identified the man killed in Wednesday ight's ride accident at the Ohio State Fair as 18-year old Tyler Jarrett of Columbus.
He was among those on board the Fireball" when a row of seats broke free, sending riders onto the midway.
Seven others were hurt, ranging from 14 to 42 years old.
Ride safety inspectors say they checked out the fire ball at several different stages and okayed it to operate.
The state fair goes on, minus all the rides...they've been shut down while they're checked out.
