POWELL, Ohio (WTVN) -- A teacher in Powell is among the four finalists for the Council of Chief State School Officers' national Teacher of the Year honor.
Jonathan Juravich has been teaching K-5 art at Liberty Tree Elementary School for the past 12 years.
According to Juravich's resume, he also served as head coach at Hyatts Middle School in the Olentangy Local district for 10 years.
The Otterbein graduate has also served as a consultant for the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.
The Council of Chief State School Officers says its national Teacher of the Year typically receives presidential recognition and travels the country for education advocacy.
