The Blue Jackets have hit the mid-point of the NHL season and are currently in playoff position. They are third in the Metropolitan Division with a 24-14-3 record (51 points). They're just three points behind division leading Washington.
Cam Atkinson is one of the main reasons. Atkinson, who has a team high 24 goals, was selected to participate in the NHL All-Star weekend, in San Jose January 25-26. He joined us from Tampa on Monday, as the Jackets get set to face the Lightning Tuesday night. At 32-8-2 (66 points) Tampa Bay has the best record in the NHL and has been the class of the league this season.
