Ohio Health Officials Investigating New Possible Case of Coronavirus

CDC Says SARS Might Be A Form Of The Coronavirus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Ohio Department of Health is investigating a new possible case of coronavirus.

Dr. Amy Acton announced Wednesday the person under investigation, or PUI, is undergoing testing by the CDC to either confirm or rule out the virus in the patient.

Dr. Acton adds that they are not revealing any personal information about the possible case. Last week, two students at Miami University in Oxford were quarantined and tested for the virus, after showing possible symptoms after returning from China.

Dr. Acton maintains that at this point, there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ohio, and the state remains under a very low risk for the possibility of a case occurring.
