Manufacturers, Offices in Ohio can Open Today

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Many workplaces like manufacturers, distribution centers, and office spaces can reopen in Ohio today, as businesses begin the process of reopening during the coronavirus pandemic.

Governor Mike DeWine laid out guidelines for those facilities to operate, including increasing social distancing, wearing masks, and stringent cleaning standards.

DeWine signed a new "Stay Safe Ohio" order on Friday. Retail operators can begin reopening on May 12th, also with proper social distancing standards.

DeWine's order does not require retail customers to wear a mask, but some businesses are opting to require customers to do so, like Menard's and Costco.

DeWine has still not set a process for businesses like bars, restaurants, salons, and barber shops to reopen.
