WHITEHALL, Ohio (WTVN)--Whitehall Police arrested a suspect accused of killing his neighbor on Mother's Day.
Officers responded to the area of Fountain Lane just before 9:30AM on a report of gunshots. 37-year-old Dion Lamarr was found dead in the parking lot near his residence.
Police arrested 40-year-old Clifford Patterson Jr. at his residence, and he has been charged with murder. A firearm was found at the scene.
Investigators say there was an ongoing dispute between the two.
Deputy Chief Daniel Kelso says, "It is a real tragedy that is compounded by the fact that happened on Mother's Day".
Patterson remains in the Franklin County Jail.
