COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Governor Mike DeWine throwing a lifeline to sports arenas and stadiums across Ohio on Thursday, allowing both indoor and outdoor venues to reopen to fans.

DeWine says indoor facilities can allow fans at 25% of capacity, with outdoor venues allowed to be filled to 30% capacity.

He adds that mask-wearing and social distancing will have to be enforced, with tickets sold in "pods" of no more than 6 people.

DeWine is also confident that restrictions will continue to be lifted, as coronavirus numbers in the state continue to improve, and more Ohioans receive the vaccine.

He adds that guidance on fairs, festivals, and parades will be added in the coming weeks.
