COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--With a lopsided win on Saturday for the Ohio State football team over in-state opponent Akron, the real drama happened on the sidelines and in the locker room.

In the 2nd quarter, linebacker K'Vaughan Pope was waived over to the sideline, and appeared to get into an argument with Buckeye Linebackers Coach Al Washington.

The senior then appeared to throw his gloves into the crowd, and walked back to the locker room by himself, where he tweeted out an expletive.

That tweet was later deleted, and Pope later tweeted, "good lucc to my teammates".

On Sunday, Head Coach Ryan Day confirmed that Pope has been dismissed from the team, adding, "K'Vaughan will continue to have the use of programs that benefit our student-athletes, such as our Student-Athlete Support Services Office, and we will support him with his progress toward graduation. He will remain on scholarship through the duration of the semester."

On Sunday, Pope apologized to his teammates on twitter.
