Here's How Much Ryan Day Will Make This Year

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Ohio State Football Coach Ryan Day is getting a contract extension and a pay increase.

The move was announced by the university Wednesday, and is pending approval by the Board of Trustees.

Day will now have a base salary of $9.5-million, making him one of the highest-paid coaches in college football. The new deal also extends through at least the 2028 season.

Day has a 34-4 record at Ohio State, with two Big Ten Championships, and two appearances in the College Football Playoff.

The university also announced contract adjustments for four other varsity head coaches, including Men's Basketball Coach Chris Holtmann. He's getting e three-year extension, through the 2027-28 season, and a base salary of $1-million.

Contracts were also extended and increased for Ohio State Women's Basketball Coach Kevin McGuff, Men's Lacrosse Coach Nick Myers, and Men's Ice Hockey Coach Steve Rohlik.
